For the brief i decided to photograph in the style of a passport but asking people to be more natural and show their funny side by having a humorous face.

The first image is of my friend and flatmate Charlotte who was extremely relaxed through the process so we took many varying photo’s of her with different facial expressions.

The second image is of myself pulling a funny face, i found this task particularly difficult because I’m quite shy in front of the camera but i soon relaxed into it and managed to form some humorous facial expressions.

for my stranger photo i had a stranger pull a humorous expression too but they felt awkward in front of the camera and uncomfortable with the situation so their facial expression is more tense unlike mine and Charlottes.

I found it difficult to find the right white balance and it took a while to experiment with various lighting options to get clear images.

I purchased a large sheet of purple paper from town to use as my backdrop for the photos to make sure to continue the fun passport theme throughout the project.

My inspiration came from yet again Andy Warhol who took various images of himself in the same close up position showing only his face.

I also took inspiration from Anton Corbijn who took images which were focused highly on facial features and expression.
